2019 Gift Guide: Toys that Support Speech and Language Development

We are excited to share with our families a variety of gift guides this week that support a variety of developmental milestones including fine motor skills, gross motor skills, speech and language development, visual perceptual skills, and overall play skills. Today, our speech-language pathologists on the Panel have put together a few gift ideas that support learning in children birth to 5 years of age!

Books encourage exposure to vocabulary, rhymes, varying intonation and inflection, and anticipation of what comes next, as well as comprehension and understanding. Books are important no matter what age or level your child is at.
