Lessonpix: Creating Visual Supports At Home
Does your child struggle to communicate their wants and needs?
Does your child have difficulty producing a specific sound?
Has your child’s therapist recommended the use of visual supports in your home?
With the use of the internet, visual supports for your child’s activities of daily living are easily accessible.
Lessonpix is an online resource for creating custom learning materials. In three simple steps, this program allows you to create materials to practice target skills as well as provide functional communication.
Step 1- Select pictures. Choose from over 40,000 symbols or upload your own.
Step 2- Choose from 500+ templates to customize visuals, augmentative and alternative communication, games, and more.
Step 3- Print and use!
If needed, there is a tutorial about how to make materials. Lessonpix saves the work you have created for you to use over again, as needed. In addition, Lessonpix has a sharing center where members can utilize supports made by others and gather inspiration for future materials! If you don’t see a symbol you need, you can request that one be made.
Cost- you can explore these supports on their website without being a member, but your images will have a watermark. As a member, it costs 36$ (three dollars per month) for unlimited access. In addition, group licenses are also available to school boards and private practices.
